Fun and Frolics at Launceston.
With rehearsals well underway Launceston Amateur Dramatic Society is all set to bring to the Town Hall their next production on the 16th to 18th October 2003. A hilarious comedy Round and Round the Garden is one of a trilogy of plays called Norman Conquests by Sir Alan Ayckbourn a very popular and much loved playwright by local audiences.

The play is directed by Alan Pollard and features Norman as the main character who has an eye for the ladies and gets himself into a number of embarrassing situations with females within the family.   Norman loves Annie, Tom also loves Annie, and Norman is married to Annie’s sister. Their brother Reg is married to Sarah, Sarah is fair game for Norman.  They all come together at the family home for a weekend in a hilarious trip Round and Round the Garden.
The Society will also be holding a special performance on the Wednesday evening of the 15th to an invited audience from local residential homes for the elderly and disabled and their carers.  In addition the Society will allocate a proportion of programme sales towards the cost of a new ambulance for the Launceston bRR_gardenranch of the St Johns Ambulance Brigade.
